Refunds and cancellation
If Bowerstead isn’t right for your family, you shouldn’t have to argue with anyone to get your money back. Here’s the whole policy, and there isn’t a catch further down.
The short version
- 30 days, full refund, any plan. Monthly, annual, or lifetime. No questions, no exit survey to sit through.
- Cancel anytime, in two clicks, from Settings. No phone call, no email to a retention team.
- Your data leaves with you. Export everything, in one archive, whenever you like.
- There’s no trial to forget to cancel. You choose a plan up front, and the 30 days above are your way back out.
The 30-day refund
Within 30 days of a payment, email us and we’ll refund it in full. That covers your first payment and every renewal after it, so if a renewal catches you off guard, you have a month to say so. You don’t have to explain yourself, though we’d genuinely like to hear what went wrong if you feel like telling us.
The refund goes back to the card or account you paid with. We’ll start it within two working days of your email, and your bank usually takes another five to ten to show it.
After 30 days
Past the 30-day window we don’t refund the rest of a period, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you find out later. What you can always do with a monthly or annual plan is cancel, which stops the next payment. You keep full access until the period you’ve already paid for runs out, so an annual plan cancelled in month two still works until month twelve. Lifetime has no renewal to cancel and keeps access after its refund window.
Two exceptions, in your favour. If we close your account for something you didn’t do, we refund the unused part. And if something on our end genuinely broke Bowerstead for you, talk to us: we’ll sort it out rather than point at this paragraph.
How to cancel
For monthly or annual billing: Settings, then cancel. Two clicks, and it takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for. Lifetime has no recurring payment to cancel. Nothing is deleted when you cancel, so if you come back next term your records are where you left them.
Deleting your account is the other, heavier thing, and it’s also in Settings. That permanently removes everything, yours and your children’s, files included, and it can’t be undone. Export first.
Trying Bowerstead
There’s no free trial. You choose a plan when you create your account, and the 30-day window above is how you try it: pay, use the whole thing, and if it isn’t for you say so within a month and we refund it in full. We’d rather give you a real month of the finished product than a countdown.
Asking for a refund
Email contact@bowerstead.com from the address on your account and say you’d like a refund. That’s the whole process. If you’d rather cancel at the same time you can say so, or do it yourself in Settings first, either order works.
